Wirral Connect is holding Big Lottery Funded workshops for private sector businesses interested in learning more about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how their businesses can get involved in supporting the local community.
Within the North West there are over 13000 voluntary / community sector organisations. The social economy and growing social enterprise movement is providing many opportunities for partnership working amongst sectors.
The workshops can provide support to organisations to build their profile within the social sector and support businesses to identify local needs / opportunities within their community.
Most importantly the workshops are focussed on CSR being more than just a cheque, there are many ways the private sector and community can work together with mutual benefits rather than of just traditional donations / fundraising.
The workshop offers guest speakers from the private sector who have implemented CSR within their organisation and also a local charity who will come and discuss services they can offer to your business.
There will also be opportunity for networking upon completion.
This is a unique opportunity that is applicable to sole traders upto large scale employers. CSR can be implemented in any organisation regardless of size.
